Today I visited Manchester Irish Writers’ blog to discuss Northern Ireland’s experience of the Second World War and my short story, Allies After All, in the collection, Pearl Harbor and More, which illustrates one aspect of this experience. My guest post is rather topical as the first episode of a new tv drama, My Mother and Other Strangers, was broadcast on BBC1 last night. It tells the tale of a Catholic village during the war. My story is set in a Protestant community but it’s still very much a story of Northern Ireland’s experience.
If you’d like to read the post pop over to Manchester Irish Writers’ blog.
