Welcome to my blog, Ascroft, eh? I’m Dianne Ascroft, author and freelance writer, and I’ll post here whenever anything relevant (well, in my opinion anyways) crosses my mind – especially anything that relates to my writing.
Are you wondering why I chose ‘Ascroft, eh?’ as the name of this blog? No, well, I’ll tell you anyway…Firstly a name beginning with A can come in useful when it’s included in an alphabetical list – just as well that Ascroft is my surname then, isn’t it?! I also wanted something that would make me easy to find and also convey my heritage. I’ve lived in Britain for nearly two decades but I can’t (and don’t want to) shake my Canadian roots. So I just couldn’t resist throwing in the ‘eh?’
As I’ve mentioned, I’m a writer and I released an historical fiction, ‘Hitler and Mars Bars’ in March. So now I’m telling everyone and anyone who will listen about it. And it just so happens that I have something to tell you about – my first virtual book mini-tour is next week. Here’s a list of the stops on my tour –
August 26 – BCR Pen Pal Reunion blog – www.myspace.com/bcrpenpalreunion Click on the blog on the right hand side of the page to read my stop at this page.
August 27 – live radio interview on the Tony Kay show, 8pm EST (1am UK time) – www.artistfirst.com Click ‘listen live’ to hear the interview live. The archived interview will be available a few days after the live broadcast. I will let you know when it is released.
August 28 – www.conversationswithpod.blogspot.com – I will answers questions on June Austin’s website dedicated to Print On Demand authors.
Hope you will be able to join me on one or more of my stops on the tour.
Dianne
