The Last Day of Summer

I can hardly believe it’s the last day of August today – summer’s already over and, for those of us in Britain, it never really started. We’ve had the worst summer weather (or rather, lack of summer weather) for years. I heard on the radio this morning that it’s been the worst August since records began in 1912. It won’t be a summer to look back on fondly.

Well, not from the perspective of weather anyways. But I will remember this August fondly as it is the month when I held my first Virtual Book Tour. It was only a short tour – 3 stops. But it was still a lot of fun and hopefully readers enjoyed learning a bit about me and my book, ‘Hitler and Mars Bars’.

The archived MP3 for my www.artistfirst.com Tony Kay Show radio interview can be heard here – http://66.49.193.35/Tony_Kay_Show_2008-08-27_Dianne_Ascroft.mp3

For anyone who missed the tour and would like to catch up on what happened, here’s links to the other tour stops.

Conversations with POD authors – www.conversationswithpod.blogspot.com – the interview is the entry on August 27.

Guess I’ll go and start thinking about the Christmas Virtual Book Tour now…Maybe I’ll even do a bit of writing before that….But first I think I’ll go for a nice, brisk walk and imagine that the leaves are falling around me and it’s a crisp, fresh day in autumn – don’t think I’ll have to imagine for long…
